My name is Irantzu, and after many years of not picking up a pencil, I returned to it, rediscovering a passion I had forgotten and that is now a driving force in my life.

I create graphite portraits and drawings in the Heidelberg area and beyond.
But I accept commissions from all over the world! Whether you’re looking for a custom drawing or have a special idea you want to bring to life, you can count on me!

I have always believed that the key to a successful portrait is capturing the emotion of the person, truly seeing through them, and of course, having clear communication with my clients throughout the process. When you commission a portrait, I will make sure to fully understand what you are looking for, and help you choose the best photo to work from. Don’t worry if you’re not completely sure at this point, together we will find exactly what you’re looking for before I start drawing. I will only begin once you’re confident in what you want.

Throughout the entire process, from choosing the photo to holding the finished portrait in your hands, you’ll be kept informed every step of the way. In the next section, I explain how I carry out the process from start to finish, and you’ll also find tips on how to take the best photos for your portrait – although I’m flexible and adapt to all options!
