Little bird

Sometimes a work starts as one thing and ends up as something completely different.

Little Bird was born as a tribute to the novel that inspired Blue Bird — that story of love and a small blue feather that stays etched in your memory. But along the way, the bird took on its own form: geometric, faceted, built triangle by triangle in acrylic on canvas.

A Low Poly exercise that became something more — a small work but with a great deal of its own light. Each facet captures a different shade of blue, as if the bird were made of different frozen moments in time.
