Impulse

This painting emerged unexpectedly at a small artists' event in March 2026. What was meant to be a painting guided by the style of Georgia O'Keeffe became a completely unexpected impulse that has nothing to do with her – nor with my own style. Colours that push against each other, shapes that ask no permission, a dark centre holding the chaos of the rest together. No planning.

Sometimes works arise beyond what you intended to create. And perhaps those are the purest ones.
