Golden Currents

Golden Currents was born literally from the leftovers of another painting. The remaining acrylic paint from Disruption became the base of this piece, built using a pouring technique — letting the colours flow and blend to create that sense of constant movement, of something that never stops.

When the base was dry, I felt it needed a point of tension, something that spoke of light. Using gold paint I worked gently until what started as a simple ray of light gradually transformed into something more complex — almost a network, a golden web cutting through the movement of the water.

Golden Currents is an original painting in acrylic and oil on canvas, 24x30cm, created in Heidelberg in 2026.
