Dar & Kerry

This painting carries the weight of a before and after. My last painting dated back to 2003, when I was still studying Fine Arts. Since then, drawing had crept back into my life only in drops. Painting had been left behind in a drawer — in my wardrobe and in my memory. Until "Dar y Kerry" came to be.

Inspired by a novel I read in my twenties, I wanted to capture the strength of a couple through their animal alter egos, trying for the first time to create a Low Poly style in acrylic on canvas. It was a slow but necessary painting, where lines and colour intensity played an essential role. Completed in 2024, it forms part of my personal work.
